Partnering with Families in Early Education

Building strong parent-teacher connections for lifelong impact.

K3 Curriculum

The K3 class is a loving and orderly environment where the teacher supports sound student learning in a safe and Godly learning environment. Our caring teacher not only gives lots of individualized attention to each student, she also helps the “little ones” as they learn to work with each other in a classroom setting.

Most importantly, we introduce them to practice of obeying “right away, all the way, with a cheerful heart!”, even when “they do not want to.” This is as important part of the “grammar of schooling” during the early years, and has a profound impact on the formation of the child.

But, it is not all work and no play in this class! Children also have plenty of time outside, where they can enjoy each others company in free and energetic play. Every day begins with prayer, and singing praise to God, from a thankful heart. We have chapel every week, where we sing together as a worshipping community and learn from His Holy Word.

The K3 class uses the “Busy Toddler” curriculum.  In the different units we cover Apples, Colors, Nursery Rhymes, Clothing, Food, 5 Senses, Teddy Bears, Things that Go Together, Community Helpers, transportation, On the Farm, Weather, Eggs, Plants, Construction, Pets, Opposites, Fairy Tales
and water.

Students in K3 develop their alphabetic sense for the “alphabetic principle” though age-appropriate concrete kinesthetic and multimodal activities (like coloring, cutting out). Students are exposed to all the alphabet and it is reviewed over and over again to make them familiar with the sights and sounds of literacy.

Children are given lots of time hearing good oral reading, from Godly books,  to help them develop a love of learning and cultivate the desire to read good literature.

K3 also works on developing number sense, through concrete kinesthetic activities (counting, coloring). Students begin by counting 1-5 and advance to 1-12 by the end of the year, while also learning to compare and contrast similar and different shapes and quantities.

Building Faith and Character from the Start

"K3 doesn’t just teach the ABCs—it teaches the importance of kindness, patience, and God’s love. We are so thankful for this program!" – Julie P.
