Portrait of a Graduate
What Geneva Graduates Will Posses:
This understanding will be manifested in their holding Scripture as the inerrant foundation of all knowledge and truth, in having a foundational knowledge of the Old and New Testaments, in discerning between traditional orthodox Christian doctrines and mere form or heresy, in rightly ordering their affections (hating every kind of evil, and clinging to all that is good), and in the desire “to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”
This commitment will be manifested by being part of the local body of Christ, by doing the good works which He has prepared beforehand (Eph. 2:10), by loving and honoring parents; by submitting to God, church, and all biblical authorities, by applying Christ’s kingship to all areas of life; and by humbly acting for the good of others.
This habit will be demonstrated by a readiness to listen carefully with discernment, to interpret meaning from oral and written works of others, to follow the consequences of ideas, and to discern truth, beauty, and goodness wherever found. It is seen in an understanding of the principles of various scientific disciplines and a familiarity with the Great Books of Western Civilization.
This faculty will be manifested by a command of language, by long experience in oratory and debate, by practice in adjusting for purpose and audience, by the integration of heart and intellect, and by learning to communicate with clarity, beauty, and persuasion.
This readiness will be shown in the ability to excel in rigorous college programs, whether secular or Christian.
This aesthetic will be manifested in a graduate’s subjective pleasure in objective beauty, whether in visual form, music, or words. It will be shown when God’s creation, and beautiful works of men, awaken wonder and worship in the graduate.
This ability will be shown by the exercise of social graces, good citizenship and appropriate patriotism, a rigorous work ethic, a love for neighbors, attentiveness to the needs of others, and a desire to serve Christ the King in the home, church, marketplace, and community.
This confidence will be manifested in the conviction that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female in His image, equal in value and dignity, yet called to different, complementary callings in marriage and the church, strengthened by the knowledge that for all those who love God, all things work together for good (Rom 8:28).

What is CCE?
- Trivium-based Approach: The classical Trivium consists of three stages of learning: Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric.
- Christian Integration: Students examine topics through the lens of Christian teachings, understanding the nature of God, humanity, and the cosmos.
- Character Education: Virtue and moral character are emphasized, aiming to raise students who are not just knowledgeable, but also good and righteous.
- Emphasis on Liberal Arts: Besides the core subjects, students often study Latin (or sometimes Greek), philosophy, theology, and the arts, aiming for a well-rounded education.
- Socratic Method: Especially in the rhetoric stage, there is an emphasis on dialogue, discussion, and the Socratic method of asking probing questions to stimulate critical thinking and illumination.
